Wireless Sensor Won't Connect to SPARKvue running on Chromebook via Bluetooth
My Wireless Sensor won't connect to SPARKvue on my Chromebook
Google has broken the BT connectivity on Chrome OS 127. Rather than using the native Chromebook app available through the Chromebook Web store, please use the following link to access the Progressive Web App (PWA) version of SPARKvue.
Below are some additional troubleshooting steps if the use of the PWA version of SPARKvue is not able to connect to your sensors.
Requirements to connect PASCO Wireless Sensors to Chromebooks:
- Bluetooth 4.0 (or higher) hardware OR PASCO PS-3500 USB Wireless Adapter
- Bluetooth must be enabled in the Chromebook Settings menu
- Navigate to https://sparkvue.pasco.com
- Wireless Sensors should be connected through the SPARKvue PWA (NOT the Chromebook system settings)
- Chromebook is running latest OS version
Note: Google Play version of SPARKvue will not work on Chromebook, even if your Chromebook supports Android apps
It is also possible to find additional support for your Chromebook through the manufacturer's website. Please navigate to the website and look for the support tab. An update for the Bluetooth radio within the Chromebook may help the connectivity with PASCO sensors. Below are some manufacturers' support links for Chromebooks.
