Product Summary
The Helmholtz Coil Base is for mounting two PASCO Field Coils to provide a uniform magnetic field between the coils. The base has a slot that allows the coils to be spaced apart at any distance from 3 cm to 20 cm (center-to-center distance). The proper separation for Helmholtz coils (i.e., the radius of the coils) is marked on the base. Two 0.635 cm (0.25 inch) diameter holes between the coils accommodate mounting devices in the uniform magnetic field.
